I love working with terracotta and do all the time.. you may not have noticed because it's usually covered in a white glaze.  All my greyware tableware is terracotta.  It's so nice in this exhibition to be able to show it in all it's glory...

This is the waxflower teardrop vase in it's raw state..



I've fallen in love with 17th century Staffordshire slipware.  Particularly the technique that they've called jewelling.  Which is where a row of darker slip is then dotted with a lighter slip like a string of baby seed pearls or even Hollywood marquee lighting. 



It's good to make notes when you are in the flurry of inspiration so that some of the extra details don't get forgotten in the passage of time...



The Sunflower vase upside down as there isn't enough strength in the base to hold the weight of the vase until it drys more.




Tiny Una vase (because they are a U shape) still wet.. just made..  :)
