A cachepot (planter without a hole to hold other removable pots) or use as a vase.

These new slipware vessels were designed after discovering the slipware vessels made in England in the late 17th century. They were mostly terracotta vessels with a dark slip dotted with white slip. I fell in love the with the detail and the lettering which also, in a modern way, has overtones of Hollywood marque lighting.

I've adapted the technique for this pineapple vase to make it more subtle.
The pineapple is an expression of love for the subtropics where I live. They are traditionally a symbol of hospitality which is lovely for any table.

These pots are two sided - the same/similar on the back/other side.
This pot measures 26 cm wide x 14.5 deep x 17.5 high
