Marigold slipware vase

These new vessels were designed after discovering the slipware vessels made in England in the late 17th century. They were mostly terracotta vessels with a dark slip dotted with white slip. I fell in love the with the detail and the lettering which also, in a modern way, has overtones of Hollywood marque lighting.

I love gardening and this vase is symbolic of that love for traditional English cottage and vege gardens and Medieval herb gardens. Also vintage seed packets...

These pots are two sided - the same/similar on the back/other side.
